Video Conference Tools for the 2021-22 School Year

For the upcoming 2021-22 school year, Zoom will be the preferred video conferencing tool for SoWashCo Schools. SoWashCo Schools will discontinue the use of Cisco WebEx at the end of July.

Health and Safety Restrictions Remain in Place for Schools

On Thursday, May 6, Governor Tim Walz announced a timeline to ease restrictions related to COVID-19. Though this is welcome news, our youngest students still do not have access to a vaccine. As a result, the state has announced that Minnesota’s Safe Learning Plan remains in place for all schools through the end of the school year.

Help Spread the Word. Student Meal Pick-up Dates Added Through the End of the School Year

121 Benefits Expands List of Eligible FSA Reimbursement Items

121 Benefits has announced an expanded list of items available for reimbursement. The CARES Act has removed the requirement for a physician’s prescription for many over-the-counter items eligible for Health FSA and HRA coverage.

Changes to Notifications for COVID-19 Exposures Considered Low-risk

SoWashCo Schools is adjusting its communication protocols for low-risk exposures to COVID-19. Beginning Monday, April 26, secondary students and all staff will no longer receive an individual letter for low-risk exposures.

Revised SoWashCo Schools COVID-19 Cleaning Guidelines

The updated CDC and MDH guidelines support that COVID-19 is not commonly spread through surface transfer. Proper use of a facial covering also reduces the likelihood of transmission through surface transfer.
