School Board Meetings Move to Traditional Format

School Board Meetings Transition to Traditional Format
Posted on 12/17/2020
Beginning, Feb. 4, 2021, the South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo) School Board will move to a more traditional meeting format with a monthly school board workshop and a monthly school board business meeting.

The first meeting of each month will be a school board workshop. Workshops will be less formal and focused on open discussion among board members following presentations from SoWashCo administration. Because workshops will no longer include board action, they will not be recorded or live-streamed.

The second meeting of each month will be a formal school board business meeting that is recorded and live-streamed. The meetings will continue to provide time for public comment, staff presentations and will include items that require the board to take action or conduct a vote.

Both meetings will remain open to the public at the District Service Center, 7362 East Point Douglas Rd. S., Cottage Grove. Please note: Due to COVID-19 there are capacity limits for in-person school board meetings.
