Royal Oaks Elementary School

Woodbury Elementary School

Ms. Burwick is originally from York, Pennsylvania. She found a deep interest in music while participating in the music ensembles at York Suburban School District: she started flute in 4th grade band, guitar in middle school jazz band, and violin in high school orchestra. Violin was something she started for fun in 10th grade, after hearing an Irish rock band. It motivated her to practice, and after gaining positive feedback and scholarship opportunities with violin, her focus became clear. She attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA and graduated with a B.S. In Music Education. Stacey studied under Dr. Stanley Chepaitis - violin/viola, Dr. Linda Jennings - cello, and Professor Nathan Santos - double bass. She had her own private studio through the IUP String Project and was a member of the Robert E. Cook Honors College.

Previously, Stacey taught general music and 6th grade chorus at Gettysburg Area School District in Gettysburg, PA. Her classes included keyboard, guitar, ukulele, music theory, and music history. She also voluntarily assisted the school's music ensembles with tuning, conducting, and performing. Outside of teaching, Stacey actively performed in various musicals in the community, and was the second violinist in the Carlisle String Quartet. An advocate for lifelong learning, she took up drum lessons in 2016 to further her percussion knowledge.

Ms. Burwick moved to St. Paul, Minnesota in the summer of 2016. She performs as a violinist with the Saint Paul Civic Symphony and a bell ringer with the Como Park Lutheran Church Joyful Ringers. When she is not teaching or playing music, Stacey enjoys spending time with her loved ones, attending concerts, watching baseball and football, traveling the world, drinking coffee, and learning how to do makeup via Youtube.
