The Park High School ONYX Co-Ed Varsity Competition Cheer Team has earned top honors at several metro cheer competitions recently. On December 17, the team took first place at the third annual STMA Frosty Fest Cheer Competition at St. Michael-Albertville. The team also earned first place in the co-ed division at Eastview High School on December 9 and third place at DeLasalle High School on December 10.

“We are so proud of this team and what they have accomplished in a short amount of time,” said Head Coach, Jeremiah Lewis-Walker. “We are working towards the goal of obtaining our first State Championship this season. It would be the first time ever for the Park cheer program."

The Park Competitive Cheer Team was established in 2003, but ended in 2012. It was re-launched in the fall of 2015 by Head Coach Lewis-Walker. This is the first year the team has co-ed athletes, who range from grades 7-12.

Upcoming competitions include the second Wolfpack Classic Cheer Competition at Park High School on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 and then the Jackets Cheer Jamboree Competition at Cambridge-Isanti on Jan 20, 2018. The Minnesota State Cheerleading Competition will take place at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium on January 27, 2018.
