Posted on 10/18/2017

SoWashCo CARES (Community Action Reaching Every Student) is currently seeking donations for their Winter Food Pack Program, an initiative designed to help fight hunger among students in need throughout South Washington County.

The goal of the Winter Food Pack Program is to provide a pack of food for students in need to take home over winter break.

You can bring donations of Nutrigrain Bars, single-serving Mac and Cheese cups, Chef Boyardee Ravioli, and Teddy Grahams to any drop off sites before November 10. Sites include: Woodbury Police Department, Cottage Grove Police Department, South Washington County Schools District Service Center and District Program Center in Cottage Grove, along with the Community Education offices at Central Park in Woodbury.

Community members can also sign up to take part in the Winter Pack/Empty Bowls event on November 15 at Lake Middle School to learn more about hunger relief efforts in the community. Learn more about the event or register here.

Thank you for your generosity and willingness to help students in need in South Washington County.
