Three Teachers Nominated for Teacher of the Year

Three SoWashCo Educators Nominated for the Minnesota Teacher of the Year

Three South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo) teachers are nominated for the 2021 Minnesota Teacher of the Year. The winner will be selected from a field of 75 candidates. Nominees include teachers from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, Early Childhood Family Education and Adult Basic Education at public and private schools across the state. The program has recognized excellence in teaching in Minnesota for 57 years.

The nominations for SoWashCo include: 

  • Jillian Goods teaches English at Park High School
  • Kristine Iturrino teaches family and consumer science (FACS) at Park High School
  • Sandra Stephens teaches kindergarten at Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion School

An independent panel of leaders will narrow the list of 75 candidates to a smaller group of semi-finalists. In March, they will meet again to choose a group of finalists and will announce this year’s Teacher of the Year on Sunday, May 2. Congratulations to our fantastic teachers.
