Resources & Programs

In carrying out the Title I parent involvement requirements, the South Washington County School District and its schools will provide full opportunities for the participation of parents of children with limited English proficiency, parents of children with disabilities, and parents of migratory children, including providing information and school reports in an understandable and uniform format and, including alternative formats upon request, and in a language parents understand.

Targeted assistance programs must use ESEA Title I, Part A funds to provide additional academic services to children who are identified as failing or at risk of failing to meet the state standards. Below is information regarding Title I selection criteria.

These resources contain information about the Title I program at the federal and state level or are sites that may be of interest to you and your child.

Besides our supplemental classroom instruction, Title I offers the following activities and programs:

  • Parent Committee: Each school has a Title I Parent Committee, contact each school to learn more about their events.
  • Informational Meetings: During the fall each building has an informational night where parents can come and receive information about Title I and have their questions answered.
