Mrs. Kari Slominski (Peterson) began playing violin when she was five years old in the Wayzata School District, and started playing piano a year later. She began playing viola, cello and bass in college, and received her Bachelor’s of Music Education from Bethel University. She has been teaching in District 833 since the Fall of 2015.

Mrs. Slominski previously taught high school orchestra in the Monticello School District, and middle and high school orchestra in the Wayzata School District. Since 2011, she has been a member of the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra bass section. She has also performed frequently with the Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra, St. Andrew’s Church in Mahtomedi, and Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie. As the daughter of a music pastor, Mrs. Slominski has been involved in church worship teams from a young age. She and her husband continue to serve on the worship team at Faith Community Church in Hudson, WI. She also enjoys teaching private strings and piano lessons to students age 6-18.

Mrs. Slominski currently resides in Hudson, WI with her husband and their golden retriever. She enjoys going on hikes, cooking, creating calligraphy and reading. She likes spending time with her family and friends.
