Prior to becoming the orchestra teacher at Bailey and Liberty Ridge Elementary Schools, Aimon Dwan directed school orchestra programs in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin; Quito, Ecuador; and Worthington, Minnesota. In Wisconsin, she was the head of the thriving orchestra programs at Whitefish Bay Middle School and Whitefish Bay High School. As Orchestra Director at Academia Cotopaxi, an American International School in Quito, Ecuador, she taught 4th-12th grade students from all over the world. Before moving to Ecuador, Ms. Dwan taught 4th and 5th grade orchestra in Worthington, Minnesota.  Additionally, she served as the director of North Star Strings, a community youth orchestra located in Mankato, Minnesota. Since 2008, Ms. Dwan has taught private cello and violin lessons to students of all ages and experience levels.

Ms. Dwan earned her Bachelor of Music Education in Public School Teaching from The College of Wooster, in Wooster, OH, graduating  summa cum laude. She holds a Master of Music Education (Strings Specialization) degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois. 

Ms. Dwan is passionate about creating community through music. She loves seeing students from diverse backgrounds connect through the common goal of learning to play an instrument and make music.
