Mrs. Kathryn Buccola teaches orchestra at Lake Middle School. She began playing violin when she was seven years old in the Wayzata Public Schools. She was a two time participant of the Minnesota All-State Orchestra. Mrs. Buccola received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Luther College, in Decorah Iowa, where she studied Music and Music Education and was the concertmaster of the Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. Mrs. Buccola has also earned a Master of Arts in Education from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.

Mrs. Buccola previously taught elementary orchestra in the Osseo Area Schools and the Robbinsdale Area Schools. She has also taught high school orchestra in the Wayzata Public Schools and an after school music program to first grade students through Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS). In addition to teaching, Mrs. Buccola currently serves the string music community as Membership Coordinator of the Minnesota String and Orchestra Teachers Association (MNSOTA) for six years.

Mrs. Buccola enjoys listening to and playing all types of music, watching movies, DIY projects on her home, gardening, and playing with her cat.
