ADHD: Stop the Stigma - Start the Support

PrairieCare Child and Family Fund recently awarded $18,990 to SoWashCo to expand mental heath support in our schools. SoWashCo created a K-5 parent education series called ADHD: Stop the Stigma - Start the Support. The first event took place in November. 

January Events:

Join us again for One of Those Kids, a virtual parent education event from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Jan. 27. Join speaker and author Jonathan Mooney as he shares his powerful story of growing up different and how we can help children who are neurodivergent. Learn more and register here.

February Events:

Join Dr. Delaney Ruston, a filmmaker and physician for Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 2. The film follows Dr. Delaney as she helps teens deal with stress, screens, mental health and being a teenager. The 50 minute screening will be followed by a moderated panel discussion. Register for the free event here. 

From 6:30-7:45 p.m. on Feb. 11, join us for ADHD and the Evaluation Process: What You Need to Know and How to Start. Learn about what goes into the school evaluation process and an individualized education plan (IEP) with Dr. Tou Y. Kahng at the Twin Cities Center for Psychology & Wellness, LLC and Crestview Elementary school psychologist Dan Osher. Learn more and register here
