Special Education Advisory Council

The Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) acts as an advisory body to the school district through the Director of Special Services on behalf of students receiving special education services. SEAC works towards the district’s mission which is committed to igniting a passion for lifelong learning by serving the individual needs of each eligible child by providing access to appropriate services to make progress towards meeting their annual goals.

Reasons to become involved:

  • Help other families and children with disabilities

  • Support school professionals in the district

  • Contribute to the community

  • Learn information and skills to work more effectively with the school district

  • Meet others with similar goals, both parents and school professionals

  • Build positive relationships with others in the district

  • Become more knowledgeable about special education

  • Share unique perspectives and insights as a parent to help the school district work more effectively with families and improve outcomes for children

2020-21 SEAC Meeting Dates:

Meetings are held from 6-7 p.m.
