
As a reminder, please complete this short registration form for fall 2020 by 11:59 p.m., on Thursday Aug. 6. In the registration, you will be asked about school meals on distance learning days, and if you want your child to be registered and enrolled in our K-12 Virtual Learning Academy.
The K-12 Virtual Learning Academy is for any family, but is primarily for those who:
- Have medical concerns for their child
- Have medical concerns for someone in their household
What happens if I select the K-12 Virtual Learning Academy?
Your child will be engaged in distance learning throughout Trimester 1, even if the district shifts to another learning model due to COVID-19 infection rates. Your child will be enrolled in their assigned school, but may be taught by teachers from across the district. Learn More.
What happens if I do not select the K-12 Virtual Learning Academy?
Your child will continue with their enrollment at their assigned school in one of the learning models that is selected by South Washington County Schools. Learn More.
- In-Person Learning: All students will learn at school with social distancing in place as much as possible
- Hybrid Learning: Students will learn through a combination of distance learning at home and in-person learning at school
- Distance Learning: Students will learn at home through distance learning with instruction that is consistent with learning prior to COVID-19

Please complete registration by 11:59 p.m., on Thursday Aug. 6. We understand that families may be weighing several factors to decide if they want to select the K-12 Virtual Learning Academy. Please know that due to several planning challenges, including numbers of students for lunch, transportation and staffing, the deadline cannot be extended.
