Emergency Meals

South Washington County Schools is working to continue distributing meals next week to families in need during the statewide school closure. Our nutrition services staff have been working non-stop to help, but we also need your help.

Due to overwhelming demand in our community, we must define who qualifies for meals. For the week of March 23, we are asking families to again register for meals if they meet the following requirements:

Food Delivery

  • Food delivery requests are reserved for families who do not have transportation or those who have a medically fragile child. Deliveries are made through the SoWashCo Cares Foundation and are not guaranteed, due to food and staff availability.

Food Pick-up

  • Food pick-up sites are available to families whose children are under the age of 18 and are in need of food assistance. Please note that sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis at set times in the morning and afternoon. Families are required to have their school-aged children with them when picking up the meals. Please stay in your vehicle, and a nutrition services staff member will bring you the appropriate number of meals. If you do not have a vehicle, please stay outside the building until a staff member can assist you.

If you meet the requirements above, please complete this survey to help staff prepare the appropriate amount of meals for distribution. If you have previously signed up for meals, you must register again. We apologize for the inconvenience.
