Karen Biedrzycki began playing cello when she was 10 years old in the Stillwater Area Public Schools. She discovered a love of orchestral playing and developed that skill with private lessons throughout her time in elementary, middle and high schools.  Mrs. Biedrzycki earned a Bachelor of Music – Cello Performance Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and went on to study cello performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, earning her Master of Music degree in 2000.

Mrs. Biedrzycki has taught private cello lessons since 2000, and previously taught orchestra for eleven years St. Croix Preparatory Academy, a charter school in Stillwater, growing the string program there from 15 students to over 140 students in five orchestras. She enjoys working with all grade levels and challenging students to progress to the next level, whatever that may be for them personally.

Mrs. Biedrzycki continues her own love of performance with the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra and also directs her church choir, enjoying sharing her love of music with others who volunteer their time to be a part of a musical group.  Mrs. Biedrzycki lives in Oakdale with her family, including her husband, son, two golden retrievers, and a new baby due to arrive in June 2019!
