Community Connection

Community Connection As a service to South Washington County Schools' parents, students and community, the district provides space for non-profit and school groups to post notices regarding special events, programs and activities. The organizations and activities represented here may or may not be related to or sponsored by South Washington County Schools.

Group/Organization eligibility for community postings:

  • The requesting entity must be a local Non-Profit Organization, District 833 Parent Group (including PTA-PTO's and Boosters), or District 833 Student Organization.

  • Information shared must be an offer of student opportunities to enhance student achievement and wellness and/or support District 833 programs and opportunities.

  • Information will not include any reference to political views.

  • Each group/organization will be allowed to share no more than four electronic flyers over the course of the school year (commencing July 1 and ending June 30). NOTE: Each city is an organization - each athletic association is an organization.

Groups/organizations that meet these criteria must send a link to a webpage or PDF flyer about the event or program, a short description of the event or program, the organization name, and the event organization contact information to Any questions can also be directed to

Promise Fellow Opportunity at Park High School
Park High School (PHS) is looking to host a new promise fellow through Americorps. Promise fellows work 40 hours a week out of the PHS inclusion center, mentoring students, providing engagement opportunities and service-learning.

Free Meals For Kids This Summer
Outside of the free meals that are provided through SoWashCo Schools, there are more food options available to children at no cost throughout Minnesota. Download the Free Meals for Kids app to find meals at schools and other sites across the state. More sites are added daily.

Nitro-X Flyer
Nitro-X Summer Camp
Nitro-X is a week long camp for students to build, paint, test and drive remote controlled cars. The camp runs from August 10-14 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. for students entering grades 6-9 in the fall.
