Water Testing

South Washington County Schools is committed to providing a safe environment for students, staff and the community. As a part of this commitment, the district tests drinking water sources for lead on a three-year rotation. All buildings have been tested within the last three years. This is above and beyond the five-year testing cycle recommended by the Minnesota Department of Health.

The first rotation of the three-year cycle was done in October of 2018, the second rotation was done in December of 2018, and the third rotation was done in December of 2019. Going forward, roughly one-third of the district will be tested every year providing us with a continuous three-year rotation.

All drinking water sources tested below 20 parts-per-billion on the final test, which is the district’s current action level goal. Results and actions for the testing can be seen in the reports below. If you have any questions regarding the testing you may contact Wendy German, Health and Safety, at wgerman@sowashco.org
